TERROX breaks ground! GOES 2025 global product launch shifts the needle for the ATV market

GOES, the recognized and specialized off-road vehicle sub-brand of CFMOTO, presented three superb new models at a 2025 global product launch in Saalfelden, south of Salzburg, Austria. As a key strategic sub-brand of CFMOTO, GOES has expanded its dealer network to 1200 dealers across 27 countries.

Markus Ferch, VP of Sales CFMOTO Europe, was on hand to explain why GOES contributes a significant portion of the company’s portfolio. GOES melds with CFMOTO’s proactive attitude towards R&D and to satisfy the requirements of the international market. GOES crafts rugged machinery that has been designed to service the real day-to-day needs of ATV users. Their products are durable and specific: ideal for work and work to an ideal. How? With practical design-thinking, fundamental equipment and focused technical specs. GOES is trustworthy and proven. The boosted functionality means that customers are only too aware of the vehicles’ capabilities. They are machines to be used, not just admired. In short GOES is strong, rugged, easy to maintain, set for all terrain, handles the big hits and is ready to haul.

In Austria the buzz was all about the new TERROX family. Covers were thrown away from the TERROX 1000, TERROX 500 and the TERROX 350 and to show tomorrow’s standards, today.

The TERROX 1000 flagship model immediately conveys stability and seniority, as form follows function. Every centimeter of bodywork has been assessed and molded for efficiency: if it’s not needed, it’s not there. An inescapable front-end aesthetic houses a third-generation OSLON LED light that offers 16% brightness compared to the previous edition but with the same power demand. The high beam reaches 100k and 120m, providing a penetrating guide in fog, snow, darkness or low visibility.

Comfort and driving feeling can sometimes be overlooked on ATVs for more robust qualities but the TERROX 1000 becomes the reference with 120mm of soft but resistant saddle padding, a more ergonomic back rest and a more upright and relaxed posture. Having a beneficial stance will assist with the delivery of 90hp and 85Nm of torque, guaranteed to flow power across the range. Desirable and pleasurable performance is a given, no matter the climb, field, mud or lumpy landscape. The sensation of ‘readiness’ not only filters through the motor but the agile chassis that hikes 312mm of ground clearance, an 80 degree approach angle and a turning circle of 6.7 meters; familiar users will know is one of the tighter circles for this particular product market segment.

What about the TERROX 1000’s lifting aptitude? Try 45 and 90kg respectively for the front and rear racks and the X-Connect quick mount system for fast work. Expect anything up to 800kg to be towed without a hitch. Power, precision and purpose, and with other attributes to catch the eye. The overhauled parking lever is lighter, sturdier and smoother with each manipulation. The orange detailing further highlights the elegance and identity of the TERROX 1000.

The TERROX 500 harnesses the same DNA as its bigger brother but with a more playful, downsized edge. The new 500cc engine has flown through 20,000km durability tests (in a range of countries, terrain, temperatures and climates) while pumping out 39hp and 44Nm. Peak torque from the growling powerplant makes maneuverability and low-speed control one of the TERROX 500’s ace cards.

The TERROX 500 will zip from place to place and from job to job. The 40/80kg carry racks and 700kg towing limit are sizeable additions and the MOLLE quick attachment system to the front panel is a ‘first’ for the industry with its modular practical appliance. The litheness of the ATV can be felt through the precise 5.7m turning circle. The engine is more compact and narrower – great for more rider room. The increased 960mm track is another notable feature while the independent Dual A-Arm suspension (200/227mm of travel) is important and will cushion the 24-25” wheels through the bumpiest routes. The emphasis is on ease and response and these characteristics are tangible thanks to the lighter and smoother gear shifting process. Still need more? Then maintenance has been optimized with time saving, tool-less removal of the side panels; equalling swift access for oil, the CVT compartment and front-end components.

As a final surprise, the TERROX 350 made its debut at the event. The forthcoming compact, entry-level offering was teased in Austria. It will suit a targeted clientele that still want the full GOES experience but for lighter work with flighty feeling and maximum utility.

The presentation generated a large amount of curiosity, and the attendees of the 2025 global launch were able to grasp the scale of GOES’ engineering and philosophy with a comprehensive test run on the second day. The green and hilly Austrian topography proved to be a fun and worthy playground for the TERROX 1000 as well as the single and pillion-ready TERROX 500S and the TERROX 500L.

The bar has been raised and firmly set for 2025. TERROX has landed and GOES can now turn towards the next target of distinction in the industry. The EICMA show in Milan, November 2025 awaits. More to come.
